UZ requests the Ukrainian government to reserve critically important employees
23.05.2024
JSC Ukrzaliznytsia is asking the government to allow the reservation of company employees, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The company stated that due to the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, they are already experiencing an acute shortage of specialists in critically important professions necessary for organizing transportation, providing electricity to consumers, and ensuring the life support of territorial communities.
This situation is due to a number of factors: occupation of territories, forced migration, and the specifics of the professions.
Moreover, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 12,000 company employees have been mobilized.
Approximately 10% of railway workers are currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Currently, it is crucial for the company to retain the existing number of employees, as noted by Ukrzaliznytsia.
As previously reported, the deferment from mobilization for Ukrainian railway workers has been extended until June 8.
