UZ invested UAH 140 million in the repair of locomotives of the Donetsk railway
During 2020, Ukrzaliznytsia JSC invested UAH 140 million (approximately EUR 4.2 million) in the repair and modernization of the locomotive facilities on the Donetsk Railway. 434 electric and diesel locomotives were repaired by various types of repairs. This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the development portal of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Ukrzaliznytsia invested UAH 67.3 million excluding VAT in overhaul of the locomotive fleet of the Donetsk railway. Also, according to the site, fixed assets were modernized for a total of UAH 72.5 million excluding VAT. At JSC “Dnepropetrovsk Diesel Locomotive Repair Plant” 12 diesel locomotives CME3 and one – 2TE116 were overhauled.
It is noted that the largest volume of work on current repairs was carried out on the basis of the Liman locomotive depot. Last year, 236 electric locomotives of the VL8 series, 24 electric locomotives DE1 and 6 electric locomotives 2EL4 were repaired here. In addition, locomotive depots in Volnovakha, Pokrovsk, Popasnaya and Slavyansk were involved in the work.
