Ukrzaliznytsia Launches New Cars on Key Passenger Route

Starting this weekend, the new sleeper cars will run as part of train № 22/21–104/103 on the Lviv — Kharkiv — Kramatorsk route.

These cars offer the most affordable and high-capacity option for long-distance travel, making them essential for public transportation needs.

Each carriage features 58 seats and retains the traditional layout with enhanced modern conveniences.

Ukrzaliznytsia’s New Sleeper Cars: Comfort, Accessibility, Technology

For greater passenger comfort, the manufacturer added soft-backed berths, ergonomic ladders, luggage niches, and privacy dividers.

Passengers can also use foldable individual tables, upper berth seating, updated upholstery, and adjustable lighting.

To support visually impaired travelers, features include Braille signage, tactile seat numbers, and high-contrast markings on handrails.

Each berth offers USB and Type-C ports, along with reading lights featuring three brightness levels.

Standard amenities include air conditioning, vacuum toilets, baby changing tables, and playpens for small children.

Alongside purchasing new cars, Ukrzaliznytsia continues to modernize existing rolling stock, including older sleeper car models.
