Ukrzaliznytsia received less than a third of compensation for preferential passengers in 2020

Ukrzaliznytsia provided services for the transportation of passengers of preferential categories in suburban traffic in the amount of UAH 285.3 million in 2020. However, the operator received only 28% of compensation from local authorities, informs railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the press center of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Local governments are among the largest debtors. In particular, the Kharkiv region owes UAH 38.6 million, and Kiev – UAH 29.5 million.
