In 2020, Ukrzaliznytsia acquired 28 new passenger railcars for its own funds and updated 13 during overhaul repairs, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to the press center of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.

Ukrzaliznytsia acquired 28 passenger railcars last year

The implementation of the overhauls provides the replacement of air conditioners, windows, electrical equipment control systems and the arrangement of dry closets.

In general, 1406 passenger cars were covered by various types of repairs.

In addition,  in 2020  Ukrzaliznytsia overhauled 4 diesel trains and more than 50 sections of electric trains, carried out 4 thousand routine repairs of suburban trains.
