Ukrzaliznytsia with Profit for the First Half of 2023

Ukrzaliznytsia reported a profit of nearly 4.8 billion UAH for the first half of 2023. The Chairman of the company’s board, Evgeny Lyashchenko, shared this in an interview with Forbes, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.
The results of the first nine months also suggest profitability, although further calculations are required.

Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized that while transport volumes didn’t reach the expected levels, the company managed to achieve stability.
Increased profit was attributed to transparent procurement practices and direct contracts with manufacturers, including material and technical supplies.
Direct agreements led to savings of over 1.6 billion UAH.
It was previously reported that Ukrzaliznytsia became profitable in the second half of 2023.
