Ukrzaliznytsia has appointed an evacuation train from Kherson

“Ukrzaliznytsia” will provide assistance in the evacuation of residents of the Kherson region due to the sabotage at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station by Russian occupying forces, reports the railway journal Railway Supply, citing UZ
Ukrzaliznytsia has appointed the first free evacuation train, which departed from Kherson at 12:00.
Additional evacuation trains will be provided as needed. The Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station was detonated by enemy forces, resulting in the flooding of Kherson and surrounding villages.

Ukrhydroenergo reported that the power station was completely destroyed, and the reservoir is expected to be activated within the next four days.
The water level in the Kakhovka reservoir is rapidly decreasing, leading to the evacuation of the population from potentially flooded areas.
The decrease in the reservoir level poses an additional threat to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, as water from the Kakhovka reservoir is necessary to provide coolant for the turbines and safety systems of the plant.
The President of Ukraine has convened a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
