“The Italian government has decided to provide Ukraine with a new package of €140 million for infrastructure restoration—railways, agriculture, healthcare, demining, and more,” said Antonio Tajani.

He added that memoranda between the Ukrainian and Italian sides regarding these sectors are planned to be signed at the conference in Berlin, and noted that the Italian government encourages Italian companies to join the restoration of Ukraine.

“Our companies are ready to invest in Ukraine and there is a large delegation of Italian businesses here at the conference… We are ready to be an equal partner of Ukraine and strive for Ukraine to become an equal partner of the European Union and part of the EU internal market,” noted the top diplomat.

As previously reported, Switzerland will provide 10 million francs for the restoration of Ukraine’s railway infrastructure.
