Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced plans to introduce the new model at the production facility in Sivas.
He noted that static tests of the UAIS platform have been completed. The next stage will involve installing the braking system and conducting dynamic tests.
Uraloğlu emphasized that the new platform is scheduled to be operational by 2025.
One of the main advantages of the UAIS platform is its versatility. It can be used not only for transporting military equipment but also for civilian purposes.

For example, the platform is equipped with fitting stops that allow the transportation of 40- and 45-foot containers.
Turkey’s national carrier, TCDD, will actively use these wagons in its operations.
The tare weight of the wagon is 24.5 tons. Despite the limited technical specifications that have been announced so far, the platform must undergo certification according to European TSI standards.
This procedure is necessary to ensure that the new model meets the high safety and quality requirements adopted in the European Union.
The production of this platform demonstrates the growing potential of Turkey’s defense industry.
It is becoming an important player on the international stage, offering products that meet global standards.

Preparation for TSI certification is an important step that will allow the platform to be used not only at the national level but also in other countries.
Moreover, the launch of the UAIS platform highlights Turkey’s ambitions in military and civilian logistics.
In 2025, these railway platforms are expected to take key positions in the country’s transportation operations.
TCDD will gain a new tool to expand its capabilities in container transportation, which will improve infrastructure and logistics within the country.
Thus, the development of the new UAIS platform demonstrates Turkey’s strategic vision in defense and civilian logistics.
This platform has the potential to become a crucial element in transportation operations, both nationally and internationally.
