Türasaş Demonstrates the Assembly Process of Turkey’s First Electric Train

The state-owned company Türasaş (Turkey) has unveiled the assembly process of Turkey’s first urban electric train, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The company showcased the stages of creating a four-car train at its factory in Sakarya.

According to Mustafa Metin Yazır, the company’s CEO, the electric train will be fully ready by November, after which it will undergo testing. This year, the company plans to produce eight such trains for the Gaziray line.
Each train, equipped with two control cabins, will be 96 meters long and capable of carrying up to a thousand passengers.
The new train’s maximum operational speed will reach 120 km/h. Türasaş emphasizes that this electric train is a completely domestic development, meeting European TSI standards.
Türasaş highlights that the creation of this rolling stock represents a significant step forward in Turkish railway manufacturing.
The new train, which will operate on the Gaziray line, symbolizes the country’s technological breakthrough in the field of transportation.
