Trains Between Germany and Poland: Increased Services in 2025

From December 2025, there will be more train services than ever before between Germany and Poland, while cross-border services will benefit from more frequent and faster links. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

New Routes and Increased Frequency
Rail operators DB and PKP have promised to increase the number of daily services by 50%. At the same time, the Berlin — Warsaw route will increase service to seven daily pairs of trains.

A new route, Leipzig — Wroclaw — Katowice — Krakow — Przemysl, will also be created. Consequently, passengers will have additional possibilities for smooth travel across national borders.
Better Service and Faster Connections
There will also be direct services from Berlin to Przemysl and Berlin to Chelm, as well as extra carriages for the Munich — Warsaw night train to create a direct link from Munich to Przemysl.
Commuting between Berlin and Warsaw will take five hours, or three and a half hours between Leipzig and Wroclaw, in both ways significantly shorter than the journey so far.
When will new a new train schedule start?
The new schedule for trains running between Germany and Poland will begin in December 2025 with more daily services and new routes for passengers.
Who will offer new service?
Passengers will be able to travel on the new Leipzig — Wroclaw — Katowice — Krakow — Przemysl route, as well as on direct trains between Berlin and Przemysl and Berlin and Chelm.
How much would travel time be reduced?
Travel time between Berlin and Warsaw is expected to be reduced to about five hours, and between Leipzig and Wroclaw about three and a half hours.
