The Spanish government has approved the establishment of Train Port Barcelona, a new logistics company involving the Port of Barcelona and Adif, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The company will focus on developing infrastructure and managing transportation in the Port of Barcelona, including the Can Tunis station and the La Llagosta logistics terminal.

Construction of a multimodal terminal in the port, estimated at 22 million euros, is also planned.

Train Port Barcelona will be granted a 50-year concession for operating this terminal.

Additionally, the company will lease the La Llagosta logistics terminal for the same duration, with a total investment of 25 million euros, covering the construction of railway infrastructure and container yards.
