How Tap Converter PAYG System Enhances Commuter Experience?
The system efficiently processes smartcard, contactless, and mobile app transactions. It integrates multiple transport modes, making urban travel more convenient and efficient.
Passengers benefit from advanced fare calculations powered by Tracsis’ technology. The system applies discounts, manages payments, and simplifies commuting across different transport networks.
Tracsis has begun development, aiming for a 2026 deployment. The company expects substantial revenue growth as transaction volumes increase post-launch.
Six train operators will continue using Tracsis’ PAYG technology during this phase. Existing services will remain active while new implementations progress.
Once operational, revenues will directly correlate with customer adoption and system utilization. Tracsis anticipates increased transactions as its smart ticketing footprint expands.
In 2024, Tracsis processed 2.25 million PAYG journeys across UK transport systems. Recent implementations in Wales and Scotland will further boost adoption before full deployment.
The company strengthened its global presence by acquiring RailComm, a US-based rail technology provider, in 2022 for $14.2M (£10.9M). This strategic move reinforces Tracsis’ position in the industry.
