Trains for Evolyn have not been ordered yet, Alstom reports
According to the Acting Director of the Infrastructure Department, Alexander Miroshnichenko, tender documentation is currently being prepared for the delivery of 18 subway cars, each with approximately 40 seats and a total capacity of up to 273 passengers.
“These trains need to be adapted to our track gauge, which will take some time. After that, we will gradually put them into operation. Thanks to this assistance, we will update our rolling stock, improving transportation conditions for Kharkiv residents and, if necessary, reducing travel intervals,” noted Alexander Miroshnichenko.
As a reminder, the agreement to provide Kharkiv with subway rolling stock was reached in August during a meeting between the Mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, and Warsaw’s Deputy Mayor Mikhail Olszewski and the Head of Warsaw Metro, Jerzy Lejko.
Thank you, Warsaw, for your support!
