The volume of railway transportation in Tajikistan increased by 9.5% in 2023, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.

During the first nine months of the year, the railway transport in Tajikistan carried 4,745,000 tons of cargo, which is nearly 412,000 tons or 9.5% more than the previous year.

Acquisition of 750 hoppers in 2024

According to the “Tajik Railways,” approximately 506,000 tons of Tajik agricultural products were exported during this period.

This is 318,000 tons or 38.6% less than the previous year.

At the same time, Tajikistan imported 3,912,000 tons of consumer goods via the railway, which is 841,000 tons or 27.4% more than the previous year.
