Two projects in California will receive a loan of $31 million, while a railway bridge in Florida has been granted $130 million by the Department of Transportation, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The loans, provided to the Sierra Northern Railroad (SNR) and the Mendocino Railroad (MR) in California, will support the expansion and restoration of railways.
The funds will cover nearly 100% of planned work, including the extension of 6.7 miles of SNR Oakdale track and the restoration of 27 bridges, 50 miles of track, and the Noyo Canyon Tunnel on MR, expected to be completed by 2027.
Additionally, it was announced that the project to replace the St. Lucie River railway bridge in Florida will receive $130 million through the National Infrastructure Project Support Program.
