The “Ukrzaliznytsia” independently produced a grain hopper car suitable for transportation on both 1520mm and European standard railway tracks, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The majority of components and materials for the wagon are of Ukrainian origin.

The new grain hopper car, model 19-8005-U, is designed for transporting grain and other bulk food cargoes, with a payload of 70 tons and a body volume of 104 cubic meters.

It features five loading hatches and six unloading hatches, with a design speed of 120 km/h.
