The railway transit of containers through Kazakhstan exceeded 1 million TEUs per year

In 2023, the operational freight turnover of Kazakhstan Railways reached 269 billion ton-kilometers, marking a 7% increase compared to 2022, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Transit container shipments by rail amounted to 1.028 million TEUs, a 13.5% increase from the previous year.
The volume of freight transportation between the railways of Kazakhstan and China grew to 28 million tons, reflecting a 22% increase compared to 2022.
