Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ) hopes for the inclusion of the ports of Mykolaiv in the “grain corridor.”
Deputy Director of the Commercial Department of Ukrzaliznytsia, Valeriy Tkachev, announced during a meeting with representatives of the grain transportation market on Thursday, May 18, that the ports of Mykolaiv are expected to join the “grain corridor.” This information was reported by Railway Supply magazine, citing Rail.insider.
“We have already received information that the issue of the ‘grain corridor’ has been resolved, and we are waiting for clarifications from the Ministry of Agriculture. I believe that we will receive them in the coming hours or days, and our transportation towards the seaports will resume,” said Valeriy Tkachev.

He also added that the inclusion of new ports in the agreement is expected.
“It would be very good news if the ports of Mykolaiv and Olvia are additionally connected to the ‘grain corridor.’ This will allow for increased transportation… For internal logistics, it is much cheaper and closer to deliver to Mykolaiv than to Odessa or Chornomorsk,” added the Ukrzaliznytsia representative.
