The Office of the Prosecutor General seized 17 800 wagons belonging to enterprises of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

It is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the Office press service.

The seizure of 17 800 railway cars of the Russian Federation and Belarus was carried out as part of the investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of intentional tax evasion on an especially large scale (part 3 of article 212).

“It has been established that on the territory of Ukraine there are wagons that were used in the commission of a crime in the field of economic activity and which were arrested by the court as a crime weapon,” the report says.

It is noted that the issue of confiscation of the arrested wagons to the state revenue is being resolved. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, which is being carried out by the Economic Security Bureau.

Recall that the DBR revealed more than 3 thousand cars of the Russian Federation and Belarus.
