The French railway equipment manufacturer has introduced a new generation of motor cars for railway inspection called Geismar Dragonfly, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Geismar Dragonfly will be showcased at the InnoTrans 2024 in Berlin.

The CR450 train, capable of accelerating to 450 km/h.

This new generation of motor cars for railway inspection combines the convenience and maneuverability of modern EVTOL technology with the durability and reliability of traditional rolling stock.

Developed in partnership with Dassault Aviation, Geismar Dragonfly is powered by the next-generation Activion solid-state battery, which is 10 times lighter and 5 times more compact than standard lithium-iron batteries.

Geismar’s research teams also extensively utilized new lightweight materials such as carbon fiber, graphene, and kryptonite to create the cabin and chassis sections of the Geismar Dragonfly.
