project of launching high-speed trains

It is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

The parties discussed the possibility of implementing the project using the EIB loan. It is supposed to launch high-speed electric trains from Kyiv to Lisichansk (Luhansk region), which will cover the distance in 7 hours.

Recall that on January 13, a meeting of the anti-crisis headquarters of Ukrzaliznytsia was held, where it was decided to send an appeal to the EIB and the EBRD to cancel the tender procedure for the first phase of the project (electrification of the Dolinskaya-Nikolaev section).

Before that, the head of “Sluga Naroda” faction, David Arakhamia, said that the EIB had canceled the results of the first tender for the contractor, which was won by the Chinese company CRCC.

The second tender was won by a Kazakh company, but the announcement of the winner is being delayed.
