27.07.2025
The LA Metro D Line reopened on Saturday after a 70-day closure, restoring subway access and advancing an expansion project that aims to improve connectivity across Los Angeles. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Crews used the shutdown to link existing infrastructure with new tunnels and tracks running beneath Wilshire Boulevard. The upgrades will extend service beyond Koreatown, creating a more efficient route for riders traveling west.

New Stations Planned for The LA Metro D Line
The expansion includes three new stations at Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax, and Wilshire/La Cienega. LA Metro views this as a crucial step toward improving urban mobility and accommodating the city’s growing transit demands.
