20.12.2023
Upgraded electric trains are now operating on the Dnipro – Kamenskoe – Dnipro route, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Two refurbished EPL2T electric trains, originally built in the early 2000s in Luhansk, have been placed on the route.
In October-November 2023, the power units and components were completely renovated at the Kyiv Electric Wagon Repair Plant.
The train cabins were modernized, making the carriages comfortable and inclusive for all passengers.
Evgeniy Lyashchenko, the Chairman of Ukrzaliznytsia, highlighted that such projects contribute to the social mission and ongoing development of Ukraine’s transportation infrastructure.
The launch of Dnipro City Express is part of urban mobility development initiatives supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, along with Vice Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov.
