The Brightline West project will connect Nevada’s largest city to Southern California in just over two hours, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The $12 billion high-speed rail project between Las Vegas and Southern California in the USA will receive $3 billion from the Department of Transportation under the Biden administration.
Amazon announces an increase in rail transport across Europe
Nevada Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jackie Rosen announced the investment in the line’s construction, praising the funding and emphasizing the expected creation of 35,000 jobs.
The Brightline West line will be a fully electric 218-mile route with speeds reaching approximately 286 miles per hour from the main station in Las Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga, a city about 30-40 miles from Los Angeles, where it will connect to Southern California.
