The Food Train of Ukrzaliznytsia continues its operations in Kharkiv
10.04.2024
For over two weeks, Ukrzaliznytsia’s Food Train has been operating in the Kharkiv region, assisting in overcoming the consequences of Russian attacks on the region’s infrastructure, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Recently, the train team reached another record, preparing around 260,000 meals since the project started.
Of these, 170,000 meals were prepared in the last two weeks in the Kharkiv region and delivered, along with local authorities, to hospitals, temporary shelters for internally displaced persons, and residents of remote areas most affected by Russian missile attacks.
Despite their round-the-clock work, the kitchen train team managed to organize a small train excursion for 24 children from the Kharkiv Children’s Railway.
These brave little Kharkivians prepared their lunches under the guidance of experienced chefs and received small gifts as souvenirs!
Educating the next generation—despite Russia’s attempts to deprive us of a future!
The kitchen train continues to operate in the region, and Ukrzaliznytsia thanks friends and partners from The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, who provided the creation and operational support for the train!
