The enemy has no chance! – the team of veterans of the handball club “Kharkiv”
06.04.2022
Kharkiv is still under fire from the Russian occupiers, but the city is sure that the enemy has no chance.
In the matter of protecting the city and Ukraine, everyone contributes, including the handball community, informs railway magazine Railway Supply, citing the Handball Federation of Ukraine.
Faith in victory is so great that Kharkiv residents have already resumed handball training. This was told by the president of the Kharkiv handball club “KhAI-FGHO” Alexander PROSKUROV.
“Kharkov got a lot, but we are already thinking about tomorrow, because sport is our life. We have already resumed the training process. This is an indication that we are optimistic about the future. Sooner or later peace will come.
Once a week – on Sundays – we plan to train in Poltava. The first such training has already taken place. Young guys from our team of the Higher League of the KhAI-FGHO, as well as our veterans, came together – some from Kharkiv, some from the region. We collect everyone along the way and go to Poltava, where we train with the Poltava Dynamo Academy.
Thanks to our Poltava friends and in particular to Igor Ivanovich Bondal.
Kharkov is at the forefront. There are many dead among the civilian population, there were strikes all over the city. One of our two training halls was damaged. Now under shelling mostly the northern and eastern outskirts of Kharkov.
“Our press attache of the club is in the Kharkiv territorial defense, where he distinguished himself by capturing a Russian military man. Each of us helps in any way possible: the team of veterans of the Kharkiv Group of Companies, since it is connected with the pharmaceutical business, helps hospitals.
We also help our neighbors, ordinary residents of Kharkiv, because there are a lot of elderly people in the city who were not evacuated.
I want to thank Kharkiv for the help that comes from our handball friends from Lithuania, from Misha Yuzko. This is our handball brotherhood.
The coach of youth handball teams of Kharkiv is constantly in touch with our young handball players. The vast majority of them went abroad with their mothers, and their coach remotely helped them find training opportunities in Ireland, Germany, Austria, Poland, and Netherlands.
In the hospital, we meet with the guys from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and know their mood. Everyone is ready to tear with their teeth and destroy the enemy to the last,” said Alexander Proskurov.
