This information appeared on the website of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Budapest: Tender for the Supply of Low-Floor Trams
As noted by the EBRD, in 2012, the Government of Ukraine received loan financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a project to extend the metro line.
The original contract for the work was terminated, and the Dnipro Metro intends to conduct a new tender for design and construction works to complete the contract. The EBRD is considering the possibility of extending the project’s financing.
Contractors interested in participating in the project must submit their applications by June 21, 2024.
It should be recalled that in 2016, the Turkish company Limak won an international tender for the construction of the metro in Dnipro.
A loan of 304 million euros for the construction was provided by the EBRD.
As part of the project, three new stations were to be built in the central part of the city: “Central”, “Theater”, and “Museum”.
All work was initially planned to be completed by the end of 2021.
Then the deadlines were moved to March 2023. During the full-scale invasion, the Turkish company left the sites, taking the personnel, equipment, and documents.
The breach of obligations was documented by the international Polish company ILF, which provides technical supervision for the subway construction in Dnipro.
