The construction of the European railway to Lviv will begin in 2024

The construction of the railway section from Mostyska-Sknyliv from the state border of Ukraine with Poland to Lviv will start this year, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Vice Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov announced this at the “Ukraine. Year 2024” forum.

“Construction of the first major section of the European route Mostyska-Sknyliv. We will connect our railway with the European network. This is the first project; we will build it this year together with European partners and donors,” said the official.
In addition, this year, several border crossing points for automobile transport are planned to be opened at the borders with Moldova, Romania, Hungary, and Poland.
The process of modernizing 23 border crossing points by the efforts of the Reconstruction Agency is also underway, added the minister.
As reported earlier, the US allocates $225 million for the construction of the Lviv-Mostyska European route.
