The authorities of Kyrgyzstan intend to extend the ban on the export of mineral fertilizers for another six months, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The Ministry of Agriculture has put up for public discussion a draft resolution to impose restrictions on the re-export of mineral fertilizers from Kyrgyzstan during the period from spring to autumn 2024.
The initiative is justified by the need for 286 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers for Kyrgyz farmers in 2024. Additionally, around 40 thousand tons of fertilizers are annually imported for spring-field work in the country.
