During the tests, the locomotives demonstrated their readiness to transport materials for laying the track on the ECRL.

CCCC is executing the project initiated in 2017, with over 50% completion and construction scheduled for completion in 2027.

The six-axle locomotives, equipped with AC traction, are designed for speeds up to 100 km/h, with a length of 22 m and a weight of 150 tons.

The design prioritizes enhanced reliability and safety, including the diesel engines, and considers anti-corrosion preparation and moisture protection tailored to Malaysia’s climate.

These locomotives will play a crucial role in transporting materials for the ECRL construction, facilitating the accelerated completion of the project and enhancing infrastructure in the region.
