Market Expansion with Evolution Wabtec Locomotives
Collaboration with Vale strengthens Wabtec’s leadership in Brazil’s rail sector. Since 2009, the company has supplied 97 ES58ACi locomotives for Carajás.
In February 2024, MRS Logística ordered 30 ES44ACi locomotives from Wabtec. And in March 2023, VLI purchased nine eight-axle ES43BBI units.
The new Vale agreement includes Carajás fleet maintenance starting June 2024. This partnership expands technical support across the region.
Wabtec actively promotes innovation in Brazil’s freight transport market. Because biofuel and ergonomics attract major clients, demand continues rising.
Vale invests in technology to advance Brazil’s railway network. Thus, modern locomotives optimize freight transport and cut operational costs.
The Contagem factory accelerates production for local operators. And new locomotives boost efficiency on EFVM and Carajás railways.
Evolution family locomotives combine power and eco-friendliness for the market. So, Wabtec maintains its lead in supplying advanced rolling stock.
The Vale deal confirms long-term cooperation in innovative solutions. Yet, other firms like VLI also choose Wabtec for upgrades.
Brazil’s freight transport market grows, and Wabtec supports this trend. Because new contracts enhance the region’s transport infrastructure.
