PKP Intercity plans to send a total of 15 locomotives from the EU/EP07 series for periodic maintenance, with a tender announcement, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

The national carrier, PKP Intercity, has announced a tender for the performance of periodic maintenance works on 4 levels for a total of 15 electric locomotives from the EU/EP07 series.

However, the number of vehicles may change.

PKP Intercity reserves the right to reduce the number of locomotives sent for maintenance by no more than 3 electric locomotives, depending on the customer’s needs.

Additionally, other units may also be sent for maintenance. According to the option clause, PKP Intercity may extend the maintenance order for another 10 units.

Regarding the timeline, PKP Intercity will require the contractor to complete the maintenance of all components within 30 months. The maintenance of each locomotive will not exceed 50 days.

PKP Intercity anticipates that some of the vehicles will require work beyond the scope of regular P4 maintenance, primarily related to worn components of wheelsets and traction motors.
