The parties report that the dialogue on partnership opportunities has been ongoing for more than two years, and they are now ready to take concrete steps.

In Poland, the procurement of high-speed trains is scheduled to begin in 2025, marking a key stage in the implementation of the “Solidarity” transport hub project.

The project includes the construction of 2,000 km of railway lines designed for trains reaching speeds of up to 250 km/h. It is expected that the purchase volume will range from 100 to 200 train units.

Pesa announced in 2022 that it was developing a concept for a high-speed train, emphasizing the need for cooperation with an international partner with the necessary technologies and experience.

This year, Polish authorities confirmed their interest in acquiring Talgo trains, which could accelerate the creation of modern solutions for high-speed passenger transportation.

The union of the two manufacturers aims to provide advanced transport services that meet European standards and the needs of Poland’s infrastructure.
