The Sofia metro has decided to abandon Russian-made trains in connection with European sanctions against the Russian Federation, Railway Supply magazine reports, citing the Bulgarian edition of Dnevnik.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has provided a €50. 6 million loan to Georgia to upgrade up to 12 metro stations in the country's capital, Tbilisi, to encourage the transition to public transport.
