Ardanuy Ingeniería has a presence in Spain, Portugal, Latin America, Baltic States, and India. Upward of 350 engineers will be incorporated into SYSTRA, which will enhance the company’s capabilities to conceive and deploy innovative solutions. As a consequence of this merging, SYSTRA will better meet large-scale infrastructure programs’ needs and accompany clients at any stage of the lifecycle of a project.

The firm participates in designing and expanding metro networks in Santiago, Bogotá, Panama, Madrid, Bilbao, and Barcelona. It is also a part of high-capacity high-speed railways in Spain and Portugal, and the cross-border Estonian-Latvian international Rail Baltica corridor. This work evidences SYSTRA’s increasing impact on shaping world transport networks.

SYSTRA Continues Its Global Expansion Strategy

Purchase of Ardanuy Ingeniería is a step towards SYSTRA’s long-term worldwide expansion plan. SYSYTRA, in 2023, bought out the Spanish underground construction company, Subterra, a tunneling firm, along with the northern European regions of Atkins, a British firm, and a Australian systems integrator, Rail Systems Australia.

These acquisitions have consolidated the group’s technological expertise and grouped best practices in design, tunneling, signaling, and digital command centers. As a consequence, SYSTRA is now able to propose complete solutions for joining innovation, sustainability, and safety.

Experts recognize that widening the company’s range adds power to its position in the worldwide engineering market. By merging experience of varying marketplaces, SYSTRA is one of the leading figures of the world’s 21st-century railway engineering market.
