Supply of hydrogen fuel and establishment of infrastructure for refueling hydrogen fuel cell trains

Alstom and Air Products have reached an agreement on the supply of hydrogen fuel and the establishment of infrastructure for refueling hydrogen fuel cell trains in Poland, according to the railway portal Railway Supply, citing Railway Gazette.
Air Products will supply the hydrogen fuel and build the necessary infrastructure, while Alstom will provide the trains.
Electrical heating systems for railway switches
This agreement is part of the development of rail transport solutions aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions on non-electrified lines in Poland.
Both companies have significant experience in the field of hydrogen energy, and Alstom has already built the world’s first train operating on hydrogen fuel cells – the Coradia iLint.
