17.11.2023
SYSTRA will be involved in building two new high-speed railway lines in Egypt, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Continuing its efforts to create Egypt’s first high-speed line, a contract won in November 2021, SYSTRA leads the PMC consortium (Project Management Consultancy) with Egis to construct two new high-speed lines.

SYSTRA will oversee construction as the client’s representative (equivalent to a project management assistant) on behalf of the National Tunnels Authority, our longstanding partner.
Upon project completion, EET will transport passengers and cargo across 2000 km, divided into three lines (green, blue, and red).
The project will form a comprehensive network connecting airports, seaports, dry ports, and logistics centers.
Within the consortium, SYSTRA will be responsible for integration, provisioning, monitoring, coordination, and project implementation support, relying on our historical local partners Arab Consulting Engineers (ACE) and SHAKER Consultancy Group.
SYSTRA will take on the role of project management assistant, ensuring the construction of the ‘Blue Line’ and ‘Red Line’ totaling 1325 km of lines and 39 stations over 48 months.
The EET network will become a reliable, safe, and sustainable mode of transportation for Egyptians, tourists, and freight operators across the country.
This will create thousands of jobs, support economic growth, and enhance the daily lives of the local population.
