Stadler appealed the tender for the purchase of 18 trams for Dnipro to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine
26.01.2022
The company’s application for participation in the auction was rejected due to inconsistency of the documentation.
This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Mintans.
The Swiss company Stadler Bussnang AG filed a complaint with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine due to the fact that the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration did not allow it to participate in the auction for the supply of 18 trams to Dnipro and Kriviy Rig with a total value of UAH 1.2 billion.
Stadler is demanding that the decision to reject their tender offer and determine the winner be cancelled.
The AMCU has accepted and is processing the complaint.
It should be noted that two Ukrainian companies were allowed to participate in the auction – Tatra-Yug and Trade House UKVZ-Ukraine.
Stadler’s proposal was rejected by the city authorities, justifying their decision by “non-compliance with the conditions of the tender documentation.”
Stadler claims that the customer applied a discriminatory approach, as it allowed Tatra-Yug to bid, the offer of which also did not meet the conditions of the tender.
