The Sleep in Motion project is distinguished by its unique layout approach.

The train cars are designed with individual capsules for each passenger, providing personal space and comfort.

According to the James Dyson Award portal, the length of each sleeping berth is two meters, meeting the standards for a comfortable sleep.

The new interior layout includes optimized geometry of the sleeping areas and an innovative corridor design with separate luggage storage zones.

Additionally, Škoda Group is actively collaborating with the Finnish company VR Group.

The current contract includes the delivery of nine double-decker cars with locomotive traction and eight car transport wagons. The agreement also includes an option to purchase up to 30 additional cars of each type.

The first deliveries are expected to begin at the end of 2025. However, it is worth noting that Škoda had previously announced a different interior design for VR Group’s passenger cars, highlighting the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and updating of its products.
