28.02.2024
The three-car trainset was assembled at the plant in Ostrava and delivered to another Czech site in Pilsen for testing, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
After testing, the train will head to Riga for operational trials. According to the contract, Skoda Group is set to supply Elron with 16 such trains for €147 million by 2027.

The first 6 units are planned for operation in 2025. The rolling stock is based on partially low-floor RegioPanter trains.
Despite defects that led to the recent withdrawal of trains from this platform in Latvia, Skoda Group promises to achieve a technical readiness level of 95% for the new trains by mid-March.
