Russian occupation railway in Kupyansk

The SBU has detained one of the leaders of the Russian occupation railway in Kupyansk, as reported by the spokesperson of the SBU in the Kharkiv region, Vladyslav Abdul.

The 46-year-old resident of Kupyansk, who worked as the head of the freight department in the regional branch of “Ukrzaliznytsia” before the full-scale invasion by Russia, switched sides and voluntarily joined the so-called “Kupyansk Railway” during the temporary occupation of the city.

He was appointed as the head of the “commercial operations and marketing service” there.

In this position, he facilitated railway connections with the aggressor country to ensure the unhindered transfer of Russian troops to the eastern front.

The enemy collaborator has been charged under Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborationist activities). The court has ordered him to be remanded in custody as a preventive measure. The perpetrator faces imprisonment.
