LILEE Systems Begins Testing the SafeRail System. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

SafeRail Testing

LILEE Systems has started testing its wireless railroad crossing activation system, SafeRail. The tests are being conducted on one of North America’s largest freight railroad networks, covering more than 30,000 miles. This network belongs to an unnamed Class I railroad.

The SafeRail test is part of the Positive Train Control (PTC) 2.0 initiative. The program aims to improve railroad crossing safety, reduce downtime, and speed up train movement. LILEE Systems is committed to advancing the industry with innovative solutions.

The LILEE SafeRail system is a comprehensive solution for ensuring compliance with safety rules and preventing collisions at railroad crossings. It effectively addresses the safety gaps left by standard PTC systems, protecting both trains and vehicles working on the tracks.

One key component of SafeRail is the LILEE TransAir STS-2025 gateway. It is designed according to the AAR S-9202 standard. This gateway supports the Wayside Messaging Server functions and ensures communication reliability, helping to minimize train delays and improve overall operational safety.

LILEE Systems CEO Jia-Ru Li emphasized that the company has been partnering with Class I railroads for more than ten years. During this partnership, cutting-edge railroad safety solutions, such as SafeRail, have been developed.

“We are proud of our achievements in Positive Train Control,” said Li. He also noted that PTC 2.0 not only enhances crossing safety but also optimizes freight railroad operations.

LILEE Systems continues to develop technologies aimed at solving the complex challenges of railroad operations. The SafeRail system testing demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovation and long-term safety improvements on the railroads.

Each new solution from the company helps railroad operators improve workflows, reduce risks, and achieve greater efficiency in freight transportation.
