19.08.2021
PJSC Slavneft-Yanos, one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, which is part of NGK Slavneft, has ordered an additional batch of railway tanks from the United Wagon Company (UWC).

The tank model 15-6913 is designed to transport molten sulfur. Its 72 tonne capacity and 44m3 tank capacity allow it to carry 9 tonnes more cargo than its counterparts on a standard bogie with an axle load of 23.5 tonnes, informs Railway Supply magazine citing UWC.
ORLEN leased 81 tank wagons in the Czech Republic
Tanks for sulfuric acid model 15-9545 have a carrying capacity of 77 tons and a tank volume of 44 m3, they can hold 12% more cargo than their counterparts. Tank cars will be produced at the Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant, which is part of UWC.
Both models of tanks are distinguished by increased carrying capacity, which reduces the tariff component of the empty run and, consequently, transport costs per ton of cargo. It also reduces the size of the wagon fleet required for shipment and the investment costs for the acquisition of rolling stock.
