Rubber inflatable plugs
Rubber inflatable plugs are designed to seal sewage, oil and gas pipelines, and water supply networks during their cleaning and maintenance
They are made from oil and benzene-resistant rubber based on nitrile synthetic rubber.
They can be used in a wide temperature range, from -25ºC to 30ºC.
The plugs come in various diameters, and their seal depends on the excess pressure, which varies depending on the plug’s size.
They are intended for one-time use and have a warranty storage period of 2 years from the date of manufacture.
After storage at low temperatures, they should be kept at a temperature of (13±5) ºC for at least 24 hours before use.
The physical and mechanical properties of these rubber plugs include a tensile strength of at least 7.0 MPa, an elongation at break of at least 200%, and a mass change of the sample after exposure to a mixture of iso-octane and toluene in a ratio of (7:3) at a temperature of (23±1) ºC for (24±0.5) hours not exceeding 35%.
The hardness on the Shore A scale ranges from 65 to 85 units.
These rubber plugs are designed for sanitary and engineering work where temporary pipe sealing is required.
Their effectiveness in creating a seal depends on the size and pressure, and they are suitable for use in various climate conditions, including cold temperatures.
