RTD-Denver Announces Grant Funding for Local Mobility Projects

RTD-Denver will announce the availability of grants for local mobility projects aimed at enhancing transportation options across the region. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

RTD-Denver will provide $3 million in annual funding starting in 2026 for projects that complement its existing services or address transportation gaps. Local governments and transportation management associations are eligible to apply.

RTD-Denver’s Funding Program Details
The Partnership Program is designed to improve local mobility by offering financial support to projects that align with RTD’s mission. However, infrastructure projects will not be funded, and initiatives already included in the RTD system optimization plan are ineligible. In the past, RTD-Denver funded the Denver Connector, which offers free microtransit services, and collaborated with Smart Commute to establish micromobility hubs.
How to Apply for RTD-Denver’s Grants?
Applicants must provide a minimum 20% local match to qualify. Eligible organizations must submit proposals by May 14, with selected projects announced on August 1. This program encourages the development of efficient and accessible transportation solutions in Denver.
By funding local mobility projects, RTD-Denver aims to improve transportation across the region. The agency invites eligible organizations to take part in this initiative and help enhance public transit options.
