Expansion Plans for the RRTS Corridor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 13-km section, underscoring its importance for regional development. He used the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) for payment, promoting digital accessibility and ease of travel.

The 82-km corridor features 16 main stations and nine more for the Meerut metro network, forming an expansive and connected transit system. Future expansions will further reduce travel times and improve accessibility.

NCRTC officials emphasized the corridor’s role in transforming urban transport while boosting economic growth and employment opportunities. Advanced features, such as onboard attendants and wheelchair spaces, reflect its focus on inclusivity.

Passengers praised the corridor for its reliability, reduced congestion, and sustainable solutions. With over five million travelers already served, it highlights the growing demand for modern transit.
