21.09.2024

In the first eight months of 2024, the volume of transit shipments increased 20 times compared to the same period last year.
UK’s Most Crowded Trains: London Commuter Routes Dominate the List
One of the main achievements is the reduction in delivery times: goods from China now arrive in Azerbaijan in just 11 days and in Georgia in 14 days.
These figures were announced by a representative of Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) at the TITR forum in Xi’an, China.
This progress has been made possible thanks to the active use of the Kazakhstan-China terminal in Xi’an, which plays a key role in the route.
Around 30% of all container trains from China to Europe via Kazakhstan are formed here, and 40% of imports from Kazakhstan to China are handled.
The terminal ensures reliable and fast cargo handling, significantly speeding up transit.
The forum paid special attention to the development of dry ports and the creation of logistics centers, such as in Almaty and the Moscow region’s Selyatino.
Infrastructure projects along the TITR, including in European countries, were also discussed.
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport is actively negotiating with European partners to implement promising investment projects in the transport sector.
Among the discussed initiatives is the construction of multimodal terminals in Europe with Kazakhstan’s participation, which will significantly strengthen logistical ties between the regions.
