Field trials demonstrated more than 97% signal stability, confirming the reliability of the system for permanent data exchange and predictive maintenance.

Rumo expands satellite coverage across multiple states

The project presently spans corridors in São Paulo, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Goiás, and in Tocantins.

Through the integration of Starlink, Rumo overcomes communication challenges in non-existent or inconsistent mobile areas and boosts safety of operations in its 13,000-kilometer network.

There is an advanced low-orbit antenna in every locomotive that beams high-speed, low-latency data.

This platform facilitates remote diagnostics, real-time alerts, and up-to-the-minute center control—essential instruments in risk reduction and logistics optimization.

Efficiency and safety through digital transformation

Enduring connection enables dispatchers to respond speedily in cases of disruption, breakdown, or emergencies.

The integration also saves downtime and reduced cost in maintenance as information-based decisions allow sooner identification of probable problems. It links agricultural, industrial, and fuel areas with ports and centers of consumers with over 1,200 locomotives and 33,000 wagons.

This upgrading initiative brands Rumo as a technology leader and fortifies investor confidence in the durability of the freight infrastructure in Brazil.
