Northern also seeks engineers for Neville Hill TrainCare Centre in Leeds. These roles come with starting salaries of £49,879, offering competitive pay and career advancement opportunities.

Tricia Williams, Northern’s managing director, highlighted the need for skilled problem-solvers to join their fast-paced team. She emphasized the importance of teamwork, safety compliance, and the ability to maintain operations year-round.

Applicants must be over 18, hold an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, and live within 45 minutes of their desired depot. Rebecca Prendergast, a senior production manager at Newton Heath, encourages women to pursue engineering careers, calling it “incredibly rewarding.”

Veterans are also urged to apply, with Northern offering a “home away from home” for those transitioning from military service. The company actively employs veterans and reservists, utilizing their expertise in structured team environments.
